Gorges of Parnonas

Under Construction

At the Gorges of Mount Parnona, there are many rare plant species (trees and flowers), protected bird species and many reptile species. Itís worth mentioning a unique kind of cedar tree ( gouniperos drupaceous) which grows only in that area in the whole Europe. The particularly rich and rare flora of the gorges make them botanical paradises. The gorges begin from the top of the mountain and end to the gulf of Agios Andreas, at the Myrtoo Sea. The most known gorges are those of: Loulouka, Koutoupous, Mazias, Spilakion and Zarbanitsa.
