Although not open to public yet, the cave is still well known. It is located 1.5 km north of the village Kapsia village and it is considered one of the most important caves of Greece. It was discovered in 1887, but it was explored in 1892 and it is a part of a wider geological cave system. Human bones and clay objects (vases) were unearthed in the cave.Its rare coloration and shades, in a big variety, of white, yellow, red, green and blue as well as its stalactites and stalagmites characterize the cave. The cave covers an area of 6.5 sq km and its length is 380.
