The historic village of Lagadia, is built on a spectacular location, above the gorge of the river Touthoa. What makes it even more impressive, is the great height difference between the lowest to the highest village houses. The village is famous for its stone masons, who have left amazing samples of their work in their village, and in the whole of Peloponnese. The stone houses are multi-stoned and seem as if they hang from the cliff. The village has many traditional houses. Lagkadia played an especially important role in the revolution, and among the many fighters who originated from there, was the legendary family of Deligianni. Their house has now been turned into a museum and is open to the public. The many springs offer plenty of water, so the village is traversed by three streams.

The stone building of the High School (second half 19th century) attracts the attention of the visitor. Most public buildings and churches in the village, are from the 19th century reflecting the economic boost of Lagkadia largely because of the masons, who spread their craft throughout Peloponnese. From the beginning of the 19th century the village has its main church of Agioi Taxiarches, with the famous bell tower and the clock. At the same time the church of Agios Prodromos was built in the upper neighborhood. The amazing thing about this church is that it was built in just 40 days, due to time constraints imposed by the Turks. The Church of Agioi Apostoloi and the small church of the Virgin Mary of Gounari with the excellent view was also built in the 19th century.

Every summer at the end of July, there is a well-known folk song contest.
