Arcadian Mountains

University of Peloponnisos

Under Construction

Mountain chains of Menalo and Parnona dominate at the most part of the district. The arcadian landscape, with its forest and wild mountains, its grasslands and its magic combs remain unspoiled to the most part by modern civilization development. This mountainous district is conspicuous for the beauty of its mountainous sights, and has become the source of inspiration for many poets (Virgilious) and painters (Poussin). The most important mountains of the district are those of Parnona (1.936m), Oligirtos (1.935m), Likeo (1.420m), Ktenias (1.599m), Trachi (1.616m) and Taigetos (2.407m).
