University of Peloponnisos

Viziki is a beautiful village of the Municipality of Tropaia with traditional architecture and rich history. In the center of the village survives a Venetian tower, which at the time of the Franks it became a hub of the Akova barony, one of the most important of Peloponnese. Near the village are the remains of the fortress of Akova (13th century). Due to its contribution to the revolution, Viziki was burned by Ibrahim in 1826. Just outside the village and near the abandoned village of Vanena, are the remains of ancient Thelpousa. works a folk art museum. Also in August organised in the village a cultural Akova festival which ends in 15/8. There is also a folk art museum in Viziki. The Akova cultural festival is organised every August in Viziki
